Caleb Beckford
National Franchise Manager, TD Bank

Caleb Beckford is Vice Principal and Franchise Bank Manager for TD Bank's Small Business Administration (SBA) lending group. In his role, Caleb has focused on expanding TD's franchise lending platform both in the multi-unit space and with SBA products. He has been with TD Bank for more than 10 years in various commercial banking roles.

Prior to working in franchise finance, Caleb held various roles in credit underwriting, commercial lending, and portfolio management. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Dickinson College, and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.

TD Bank's SBA group is a top lender to small businesses, and lends to many franchise concepts within its footprint from Maine to Florida.

Joann Lee
Managing Director, The Lam Group

Joann has been with the Lam Group Since 2009. She is responsible for new builds and procurement of furniture for their portfolio of hotels and oversees their Starbucks’ license.

Prior to her present position, and for over 25 years, she owned and operated various garment manufacturing companies in New York City.

The Lam Group is presently opening a second Starbucks location in Manhattan. They have a master license agreement and have plans for additional Starbuck stores in the near future.

A resident of New Jersey, Joann and her husband, Andy, have 4 daughters.  

Lin Luo
Franchise Sales Manager, Bonchon Franchise LLC

Lin Luo is a Franchise Sales Manager at Bonchon Franchise LLC. In 2014, she joined the Bonchon team overseeing domestic and international franchise developments. During her tenure, Lin and her team have signed over 250 franchise stores in the U.S. and generated more than $5 million in franchise fees.

Prior to joining Bonchon, she was the managing partner of a restaurant in New Haven, where she found that the traditional restaurant industry had become stagnant. This majorly contributed to her decision to join the franchise business and help people to transact into a new industry.

Lin got her Bachelor of Arts in Marketing Management from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, CUNY.



Michelle Murray-Bertrand
Attorney, The Richard L. Rosen Law Firm, PLLC

Michelle Murray-Bertrand is a Corporate Associate with The Richard L. Rosen Law Firm, PLLC. She practices corporate law (with a focus on franchise law and asset purchases), intellectual property law, commercial real estate, corporate structures, and trusts and estates. Prior to joining The Richard L. Rosen Law Firm, PLLC, Michelle was a Corporate Associate at Proskauer Rose LLP and the Principal of her own firm, where she represented foreign and domestic companies in an array of transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, private equity, corporate finance, regulatory compliance and corporate governance.

Michelle earned her J.D. in 2006, Magna Cum Laude, from New York Law School, and in 1996 she earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University. She is admitted to the New York State bar.

Grace Wen
Franchise Owner, Sylvan Learning Center

Grace has owned and operated 5 Sylvan Learning Centers in Queens and Brooklyn since March 2016. Grace's responsibilities include day to day operations, marketing, management and in-business controls. The Flushing Center was honored with the Top 10 Centers of Excellence Award within the first year.

Grace specializes in individualized education and has helped hundreds of children achieve their goals and dreams. She is now carrying out contracts with the Department of Education and delivering parent workshops around New York to help even more families, especially those with children with special needs.

Prior to entering the Sylvan education franchise, Grace founded and operated, an online currency exchange platform for 7 years; accumulating experiences in business operation, international services, and marketing.

She graduated from Binghamton University and Sorbonne University, specializing in Computer Science, Graphic Design and French. Grace is an enthusiastic practitioner in martial arts, studio arts, extreme sports, and is currently pursuing further studies in child psychology, on top of being a full time mother of two children.
