2016 AWIB Annual Procurement Conference
for Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises
 
New York, NY (May 6, 2016) – Asian Women in Business (AWIB) will hold its Annual Procurement Opportunities Conference for Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MBWEs) on Thursday June 16, 2016.  The conference will take place at BNY Mellon, 101 Barclay Street, New York City, from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. 
 
There is no cost to attend the AWIB Annual Procurement Opportunities Conference.  The event provides the MBWE community with resources and connections to stand out in an increasingly competitive market.  Attendees can foster partnerships by networking with government officials and small business owners in the extensive exhibition area.  To support the growth of MWBEs, pre-qualified vendors have a chance to meet with corporate buyers during one-on-one appointments.  The conference includes expert-led panel discussions which offer valuable insight into the procurement process, how to sell and maximize networking, and new initiatives designed for MWBEs. 
 
Michael Owh, Director of the Mayor’s Office of Contract Services, and The Honorable Gale Brewer, Manhattan Borough President, are featured speakers.
