          Investing in Real Estate—Bringing Out Your Inner Mini-Mogul

 

New York, NY (September 9, 2015) – Asian Women in Business (AWIB) will host a 3-part workshop titled “Investing in Real Estate—Bringing Out Your Inner Mini-Mogul” to be held on Wednesday: October 7th, November 11th and Tuesday December 1st, 2015, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Squire Patton Boggs, 30 Rockefeller Plaza, 23rd Floor, NYC. 

Whether you are thinking about investing in real estate or simply interested in learning, these informative workshops offer a chance to find out about the different types of real estate investments and their risk vs. return profiles. Each session features a panel of experienced investors and real estate experts, who will guide you towards the real estate investment path that best suits your risk profile.

 

Workshop Highlights:

  •  Wednesday, October 7th, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
    Overview of Different Types of Real Estate Investments
    Covers income-producing investments such as retail and multi-family residential properties; as well as capital-appreciation investments such as condo, ground-up development, crowdfunding and rehab.
     
  •  Wednesday, November 11th, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
    Commercial Real Estate Investments

    Goes into more details on different types of investments in primary and secondary markets; how commercial real estate is valued; benefits of investing; and how these investments are structured through syndication and joint venture.

     
  • Tuesday, December 1st, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
    Residential Real Estate Investments

    Discusses investing in condo developments and the mechanics of a fix-and-flip or fix-and-hold, and how shorter-term real estate investments work.
