New York, NY(October 12, 2010) - Six extraordinary Asian Women will receive the 2010 Asian Women In Business Leadership Award as they are feted at the group's Fifteenth Anniversary Gala on Wednesday, October 20th. This annual event highlights the tremendous contributions of Asian women as entrepreneurs and corporate leaders.
The awardees were selected from hundreds of candidates. Their resounding success in the business world and commitment to helping the community make them truly inspiring role models.
NYC Comptroller, John Liu; NYC Councilmember Margaret Chin; and NYS Assemblywoman Grace Meng will attend AWIB's 15th Annual Gala as special guest speakers.
"We are especially honored to have the only two Asian women elected to office in NYS speak at our awards dinner,"said Bonnie Wong, President, Asian Women In Business. "This year's theme Progress Crystallized is particularly appropriate with the first and only city wide Asian American elected official, John Liu, appearing at our anniversary dinner. All three elected officials have broken down barriers and they are creating new paths for all Americans."
The award are given out for two categories - Corporate Leadership and Entrepreneurial Leadership.

The Awards Dinner will be held at the Hilton New York, 1335 Avenue of the Amercas in midtown Manhattan.
