Starting Your Business 101:
A Four Part Series on Starting and Running a Business

 

New York, NY (October 7, 2014) – Asian Women in Business (AWIB) will host a four-part series of workshops on small business ownership titled “Starting Your Business 101” It will be held on four consecutive Mondays, November 3, 10, 17, 24, 2014 and each sessionwill be from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM and will be held at Microsoft, Eleven Times Square, (on 8th Avenue between 41st and 42nd street), New York, NY. 

AWIB will take a comprehensive look at the most important aspects of running a successful business. This four-part series, led by industry experts, will be the key to unlocking your entrepreneurial potential. Whether you are looking to turn your business idea into a reality or to simply hone the skills necessary to take your business to the next level, this series is for you. Pick up new ideas for growing your business while meeting like-minded entrepreneurs! The Starting Your Business 101 series is one of AWIB’s most popular workshops and it gives a comprehensive overview of all aspects of setting up and managing a business.
 

The topics that will be covered during the four-week series are:

  • Week 1: Writing a Business Plan
  • Week 2: Legal Structures, Taxes and Record-keeping
  • Week 3: Marketing—On and Offline Strategies
  • Week 4: Financing Your Business
     

The series has consistently received rave reviews and is a must-attend for ambitious business professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs.  Besides benefitting from the access to a wealth of information from speakers, previous attendees have used the sessions to get their questions answered as well as network with fellow budding entrepreneurs to share ideas and solicit constructive feedback.
