Help Support Promising Asian Female College Students
by Donating to the AWIB Scholarship Fund!

New York, NY (December 23, 2013) – Since 2008, Asian Women In Business (AWIB) has been awarding scholarships to promising Asian female college students who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, community service, and/or entrepreneurship. To date, we have granted scholarships to 35 deserving recipients who have gone on to accomplish amazing things and who continue to contribute to their communities.

Now we need YOUR help to ensure that our scholarship fund can be sustained in the future, so that we can continue giving scholarships to promising young women for years to come.

The AWIB scholarship is awarded to female college students of Asian or Pacific Islander ancestry who are currently enrolled in a U.S. institution of higher education and who have exhibited exceptional leadership skills and commitment to community service and/or entrepreneurship. Our scholarship is the only scholarship of its kind that recognizes and awards young Asian American women who have shown the potential to become the next generation of successful Asian American leaders. Some of the extraordinary achievements of our previous recipients include starting a program to distribute eyeglasses in developing countries, successfully pushing through a $1.3 million deal in venture capital funding at the age of 20, and founding a nonprofit organization to help feed and clothe the homeless, to name just a few examples.

Our goal is to raise at least $20,000, and any additional funding over our $20,000 goal will go towards helping to fund additional scholarship recipients. For those who donate $2500 and above, you will have the opportunity to name the scholarship in honor of a significant person in your life. Every year we select 5 or 6 scholarship winners after a long and careful review by our scholarship committee. The process is an incredibly difficult task as there are always so many qualified applicants, and it pains us to have to turn away a number of deserving applicants due to our limited scholarship funds.

So please help us in continuing our mission to support promising young Asian women by donating to our scholarship fund. Your donation is fully tax-deductible and will help cultivate the next generation of Asian American women leaders!
