Taste of Chinatown October 2005

The third Taste of Chinatown was held Saturday, October 15, 2005 from 1:00PM to 6:00PM in New York City's Chinatown.

Over 50 restaurants, bakeries, tea houses, and specialty shops offered $1.00 and $2.00 tasting plates. Visitors sampled a dazzling array of dishes and marveled at the selections from Canton, Shanghai, Beijing, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Also on the menu were delicacies from Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore and Japan, all in one afternoon.

Tasting stations were spread across the heart of Chinatown, on Mott, Mulberry, Baxter, Bayard, Pell, and Mosco. Every street led to delicious discoveries and anyone who toured the entire Taste of Chinatown route got the full breadth of tempting offerings.

At $1.00 and $2.00 a plate, what more could you have asked for? Well, other than when the next Taste of Chinatown would be held.

The answer - Saturday, April 22nd 2006 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. More
