2011 Asian Women in Business Leadership Award
 

New York, NY (October 5, 2011) ­– Seven extraordinary Asian women will receive the 2011 Asian Women In Business Leadership Award as they are feted at the group’s Sixteenth Anniversary Gala on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. This annual event highlights the tremendous contributions of Asian women as entrepreneurs and corporate leaders. The awardees were selected from hundreds of candidates from around the country. Their resounding success in the business world and commitment to helping the community make them truly inspiring role models.

“We are pleased to have 7 high achieving women receive awards at our Annual Leadership Dinner” said Bonnie Wong, President, Asian Women in Business. “This year’s theme “Leading the Way” is particularly appropriate since these are women who are leaders in their fields.”

The awards are given in three categories - Corporate Leadership, Entrepreneurial Leadership and Young Entrepreneurial Leadership.

Recipients of the 2011 AWIB Corporate Leadership Award:

  • Phoebe H. Yee, Vice President, Design Related Companies

Recipients of the 2011 AWIB Entrepreneurial Leadership Award:

  • Ann Harakawa, Principal, Two Twelve
  • Marie Jhin, MD, CEO & Senior Dermatologist, Premier Dermatology & PIBU Spa
  • Dolly Oberoi, CEO, C² Technologies, Inc.

Recipient of the 2011 AWIB Young Entrepreneurial Leadership Award:

  • Rebecca Dean, President, Tiny Tots Therapy, Inc.


The Honorable John Liu, Comptroller of the City of New York will be the guest speaker. Vivian Lee, Anchor, NY1, will serve as the mistress of ceremony.

The Awards Dinner will be held at the Hilton New York, 1335 Avenue of the Americas (@ 53rd St) in midtown Manhattan.

7:30 pm: The Honorable John Liu, guest speaker
8:15 pm: Leadership Awards presentation
