Navigating Your Networks to Success

New York, NY (March 11, 2010) — Asian Women In Business is hosting a workshop on effective networking and communications titled “To Pitch or Not to Pitch: Navigating Your Networks to Success.”  The event will be held at Microsoft, 1290 Avenue of the Americas- 6th FL (Radio City Conference Room) on Wednesday, March 24th from 6:00-8:30pm.

Effective networking is a must-have skill, whether one is in the corporate sector or an entrepreneur, looking for the next career jump or business opportunity.  The key to successful networking requires deliberate steps to connect with others to build your circle of influence.  This workshop is a practical necessity for professionals and entrepreneurs who are looking to leverage the art of networking in their careers.  

Networking expert, Jane Hyun, leadership strategist, founder of Hyun Associates, and author of Breaking the Bamboo Ceiling, will provide women with insights and practical tips for how to network for business and career growth.  In this interactive workshop, Ms. Hyun will reach into her personal and professional experience, share strategies for networking, help you understand how to invest your time, who you should pitch, as well as Do's and Don'ts.  Attendees will also learn techniques on differentiating short and long term relationship building and cultivating them for mutual benefit!
