Protect Your Business:
Learn Trademark, Copyright & Patent Basics

New York, NY (April 8, 2009) - Asian Women In Business (AWIB) will host a workshop titled, “Protect Your Business: Learn Trademark, Copyright & Patent Basics”. This session will provide practical and easy-to-understand information on how you can protect your valuable intellectual property rights. It will be held on April 21st from 6:00-9:00pm at Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman, P.C., 1133 Avenue of Americas (between 43rd & 44th Streets) New York, NY.

Businesses too often neglect to take the necessary precautions to prevent the unauthorized use of their valuable but intangible assets. Before anything bad happens, learn how to prevent the unauthorized use of your unique designs, inventions, products, web presence, business name and logo. This interactive session will help you to understand the legal protection you have and will address the latest custom regulations and your rights under trademark, copyright, and patent laws.

The workshop will be conducted by Sujata Chaudhri and attorneys at Cowan, Liebowitz and Latman, an internationally recognized leader in Intellectual Property Law. Ten of its attorneys were named in The New York Area’s Best Lawyer’s 2009 survey results.

Participants must register with Asian Women In Business at 212-868-1368 or email info@awib.org. There is no fee for AWIB members and a $30 fee for non-members to attend this important workshop. Light refreshments will be served.
