Starting Your Business 101:
Get the Essentials on Small Business Ownership


New York, NY (October 26, 2009) - Asian Women in Business (AWIB) will be conducting a four-part workshop on small business ownership, Starting Your Business 101. Classes will be held on November 3, 10, 17, & 24 at Microsoft, 1290 Avenue of the Americas, New York City.

“Starting Your Business 101” is a series of workshops developed to provide both aspiring and existing business owners with information on how to start and run a successful business. The program offers two-hour weekly sessions, for a total of four weeks, that cover the essential topics such as how to write a business plan, create an effective marketing plan, decide upon a legal structure and acquire the necessary financing and insurance. Classes are designed to be interactive and are led by industry experts who ensure that each two-hour session is an engaging experience.

AWIB is proud to hold this bi-annual workshop series that has benefited over 800 business professionals for six consecutive years. The workshop series have consistently received excellent reviews for its wealth of information that provides budding entrepreneurs with the tools and resources to get started.

Registration is $15 a class or $30 for all four-class series for AWIB members. For non-members registration is $25 per class or $75 for the four-class series. Seating is limited. Registration with payment must be received by October 30, 2009.
 



Asian Women In Business (www.awib.org) is the only nonprofit organization in the country with the primary mission of assisting Asian women entrepreneurs. Over the years, AWIB has expanded its mission to address issues affecting the business and professional development of Asian women.
