The 2016 AWIB Procurement Opportunities Conference fosters partnerships for minority and women-owned businesses. Now in its 13th year, the Procurement Conference has become the premier event for small businesses in the tri-state area. It is designed to help minority and women owned firms grow in an increasingly competitive business environment.

Small business owners will meet with government agencies and regional authorities at our extensive exhibition area as well as meet one-on-one with major companies during our corporate matchmaking sessions (for pre-qualified vendors). The conference also includes industry expert-led panel discussions, which offer valuable insight into the procurement process and growing your business. AWIB Small Business Members are eligible for an exhibition table to showcase their products and/or services.  As an exhibitor, you can network with government and corporate buyers as well as the many small business owners in attendance. To become a Small Business Member, visit www.awib.org/membership.

Attending the conference is free but an rsvp is required.

To qualify for private appointments with Corporations, you must be a business owner (MWBE certification is not required), register online to attend the conference and complete a  pre-qualification form. To enter the building, you must register for the conference which is separate from completing a pre-qualification form.  You will be matched according to product/service requested by the corporations, therefore you are not guaranteed an appointment. The deadline to submit the pre-qualification form is June 6, 2016 (Extended to June 9th) and this fillable form should be emailed to us at info@awib.org or faxed to 877.686.6870. AWIB members will receive priority consideration - please be advised that if you support us (yes, men can), we support you.  

We spend a considerable amount of time arranging this conference.  We would appreciate monetary donations from the non-members attending our conference to defray a small part of the costs and to allow us to continue this tradition of helping the small business community.
